Affiliate disclosure
Last updated: 4 June 2026
Stay Safe Guide is free to read. To keep it that way, some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to buy or sign up, we may earn a small commission. This comes out of the company's marketing budget, so it never costs you anything extra.
Our promise
- Commission never decides what we recommend. We pick what we believe is genuinely best for the reader, then look for an affiliate link, not the other way round.
- We tell you when a free option does the job, even when a paid one would earn us more.
- We only recommend products and services we would be comfortable setting up for our own family.
Where we take part in affiliate programmes (for example the Amazon Associates programme and the programmes run by VPN, password manager, antivirus and identity-protection providers), we will say so clearly on the relevant pages. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
This disclosure is made in line with UK Advertising Standards Authority guidance and the Competition and Markets Authority's rules on clearly labelling paid links.
